Race Course

A scenic, IAAF-certified route through Kapsabet's rolling highlands at 2,000m altitude.

Kapsabet Circuit

The Race starts off in Nandi Hills Junction and makes it way into the surrounding highland terrain — passing through landmarks that define Nandi County's running legacy.


The route then makes it way through Kipsigak Juntion into Namgoi and then turns into Kapsabet Town for the last stretch into the scenic town center and finally into the Eliud Kipchoge Complex

Registration is a two-step process. First, pay the registration fee via M-Pesa Lipa Na M-Pesa → Buy Goods, Till Number 5270120 (Kapsabet Half Marathon) — KES 500. Then click Register Now and complete the online form, including your M-Pesa confirmation code.
Registration fees vary by category: 21km Half Marathon — KES 500, 10km Race — KES 500, 5km Family Fun Run — Free, and Corporate Challenge — KES 20,000 per team. Payment is via M-Pesa Buy Goods, Till Number 5270120.
Bring your race bib, valid ID, water bottle, and appropriate running gear. We recommend wearing comfortable running shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Sunscreen and a hat are also recommended. No bags are allowed on the course, but we provide secure storage.
Yes, we have medical teams stationed at every 2km checkpoint with first aid facilities. Ambulances are on standby throughout the race. All participants receive a medical bracelet with emergency contact information. If you have any medical concerns, inform our staff immediately.
The 21km Half Marathon starts at 6:30 AM. The 10km Race begins at 7:30 AM, and the 5km Family Fun Run at 8:30 AM. All participants must arrive 1 hour before their race start time for check-in.
Refunds are available until March 20, 2026 with a 10% administrative fee. After March 20, no refunds are issued, but you can transfer your registration to another person. For medical emergencies, we may provide a credit toward next years event.
Yes, the Kapsabet Marathon 2026 is AK certified and recognized nationally and internationally. The course is measured and verified by certified officials. Times recorded at this event are eligible for international competition standards and records.
